دراسة الطب في امريكا تتم بعد الشهادة الجامعية و ليس الثانوية. اولا يجب علي الطالب الحصول علي بكالورويوس في اي تخصص , حتي لو كان ادب او تاريخ او جغرافيا او احياء او فيزياء , ما يهم التخصص , المهم انك اثناء دراستك في مرحلة البكالوريوس لازم تدرس مجموعة من المواد تعرف بالبريريكويزت و هي من ضمن الشروط الاساسية للتقديم علي دراسة الطب, غالبا هذه المواد عبارة عن فصلين دراسيين كيمياء عامة و فصلين احياء عامة و فصلين فيزياء و فصلين كيمياء عضوية و لابد جميع هذه المواد ان يرافقها معمل, بالاضافة الي فصلين دراسيين رياضيات و فصلين دراسيين كتابة و تعبير لغة انجليزية. معظم هذه المواد اجبارية في جميع التخصصات و لكن غالبية الطلاب يدرسون البيولوجي لانه يفيدهم في حالة تحصلوا علي قبول في الطب. عموما ينصح بدراسة تخصص تحبه في البكالوريوس و بالتالي تستمر فيه في حالة لم تتحصل علي قبول في الطب.
بعد الحصول علي بكالوريوس في اي تخصص مع تغطية مواد البريريكويزت يمكنك التقديم علي كليات الطب لدراسة الطب (MD)

لكي يمكنك التقديم لابد م توافر عدة شروط , الاساسية منها:
- بكالوريوس و لابد تكون من جامعة امريكية.
- مواد البريريكويزت.
- امتحان MCAT
